On May 18, Ambassador Yu Dunhai attended the launch ceremony of the "Nigeria-China Bridge"Chinese language teaching program. Counselor Yang Jianxing, on behalf of the Chinese Embassy,signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation with Mr.Jibrin Baba Ndace, Director-General of Voice of Nigeria.

In his remarks, Ambassador Yu stated that the "Nigeria-China Bridge" Chinese language teaching program is a symbol and important driving force for the deepening cooperation between China and Nigeria, and between China and Africa. It is an important platform for telling the story of friendly cooperation between China and Nigeria, and between China and Africa, and will inject strong momentum into building all-weather China-Africa community with a shared future for the new era.

Director-General Ndace stated in his remarks that the program is an important measure to implement the spirit of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, an important step in strengthening the lasting friendship between Nigeria and China, and a bridge to promote mutually beneficial cooperation between Nigeria and China.

The "Nigeria-China Bridge" Chinese language teaching program is jointly sponsored by the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria and Voice of Nigeria, with the assistance of the China Cultural Centre in Nigeria. It will be broadcast weekly to African countries.
